南加企業家古紹崙獲頒台灣明新科大傑出校友獎

Adesso Technologies Chairman, Gu Shaolun (right), was awarded the "Distinguished Alumni Award for the 111th Academic Year" by the President of Ming Hsin University of Science and Technology, Liu Guowei He has been donating NT$1 million each year to the "Talent Development Scholarship" since 2021, committing to do so for ten consecutive years as a way to give back to his alma mater. Also honored with this recognition was Chen Linjie, Chairman of Taiwan's AMIDA Technology. Both alumni are dedicated to technical and vocational education and made contributions during the award ceremony in the form of scholarships and educational equipment. Liu Guowei, the President of Ming Hsin University of Science and Technology, expressed that these outstanding alumni, who graduated from the Electronics Department at different times, embody the spirit of the school motto, "Determination, Innovation, Creation." They are using their expertise in technology research and development, business management, and industry investment to give back to society. Liu Guowei also expressed his gratitude for the support and contributions of these alumni, who serve as role models for younger students and drive the progress and development of the university. Gu Shaolun, who started his business in the United States and was elected as the 30th Overseas Chinese Entrepreneur Model in 2021 and the 2022 Outstanding Asian American Engineer in the United States, expressed his gratitude for the guidance he received from his teachers during his education at the university. After achieving success in his career and recovering from a serious illness, he realized his social responsibility. Consequently, he established a foundation dedicated to issues related to education, environmental protection, and social safety. He also encouraged younger students to make the most of their time and continue to improve themselves, regardless of their academic performance. Chen Linjie founded AMIDA Technology in Taiwan in 2002, specializing in the development of semiconductor testing instruments and system technologies. With extensive experience and expertise in instrument and system design, the company successfully went public in April of this year. Drawing from his own experiences in education and entrepreneurship, Chen advised young students to "continuously learn," "expand their networks," and "seize opportunities." Chen Linjie places great importance on the development of talent in the semiconductor industry, donating a semiconductor testing machine worth more than NT$3 million for educational use and providing scholarships to ease the financial burden on younger students. Ming Hsin University of Science and Technology hosted the "2022 Engineering Science and Technology Application Symposium" on December 2nd.
