Hailing from Taiwan, Allen Ku was honored as the "Entrepreneurial Role Model of the Republic of China" in 2021. Over two decades, his company, Adesso, has experienced exponential growth in products and personnel, becoming a global brand with annual revenues exceeding NT$1 billion. He expressed that after achieving successful entrepreneurship and a fulfilling family life, his greatest desire is to give back to the community. He views his business as a source of funding for his philanthropic endeavors. During the pandemic, he donated a significant amount of PPE to schools, hospitals, government agencies, and first responders in Southern California, and he contributed properties worth millions to local governments.

The heads of four non-profit organizations that received donations on that day expressed their gratitude for Allen Ku's generous contribution. The head of Pomona Hope stated that they are a community-based family education and counseling organization that helps young people become better spouses and parents, with a focus on young Latinx individuals. Allen Ku's generous donation is undoubtedly their biggest support.

Present at the donation ceremony were Pomona Mayor Tim Sandoval, former Mayor of Walnut Su Wang Xiu Lan, Chairwoman of the Walnut Valley Water District and President of the Diamond Bar Chinese Association Li Minni, Chairwoman of the Community Safety Everyone's Responsibility Group Guan Yixiu, and President of the Hacienda Heights Chinese Association Fang Xiaowei, among others.

Sandoval expressed gratitude for Allen Ku's cross-cultural spirit of generosity. Su Wang Xiulan, on behalf of the Walnut Chinese Parent Association, thanked Allen Ku for his multiple donations to Walnut High School and the Walnut Valley Unified School District. She stated that fundraising is becoming increasingly challenging, and the Chinese community needs more entrepreneurs like Allen Ku who provide support and encouragement not only to the Chinese but also to other ethnicities in areas such as education and culture.

Allen Ku mentioned that he has been working hard in the United States for 30 years, averaging at least 60 hours of work per week. His work involves visiting clients, product development and design, factory management, supply, employee communication, and customer communication. He firmly believes that in America, hard work may not always lead to success, but success certainly requires hard work. After achieving success, he finds great joy in giving back to the community. He hopes that his philanthropic efforts will serve as an example and encourage more disadvantaged groups to receive sponsorship from successful businesses. In addition to education, culture, and community safety, he also aims to support environmental initiatives in the future.
