On the afternoon and evening of September 30th, the 2023 Diamond Bar Mid-Autumn Festival and Mid-Autumn Evening Gala, organized by the Diamond Bar Chinese Association, were held as scheduled at Diamond Bar High School, attracting hundreds of people and families to participate and attend.

Allen Ku, the President of the Diamond Bar Chinese Association, donated $10,000 to Diamond Bar High School, continuing the association's tradition while also supporting extracurricular activities at the high school. This generous donation added a perfect ending to the Mid-Autumn celebration.

The Mayor of Diamond Bar, Andrew Chou, Dr. Tony Torng, a member of the Walnut Valley Unified School District Board of Education, Layla Abdo-Taleb, a board member, Dr. Rober Taylor, the Superintendent, and Tang Wei, the Principal of Diamond Bar Chinese School, were among the distinguished guests who joined in the festivities.

President Allen Ku of the Diamond Bar Chinese Association expressed his delight at the warm reception of the first Mid-Autumn celebration during his tenure. He emphasized the concept of "a full moon signifies family reunion," highlighting the joy of people from different ethnicities and ages coming together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

President Ku also pointed out that association members generously contributed both financially and in terms of effort to make the event a success. They raised enough funds from donations and the fair's proceeds to donate $10,000 to Diamond Bar High School, intended for enhancing student club activities, such as music and dance. He stressed the hope that this act would inspire more individuals, businesses, or organizations to donate to Diamond Bar High School for the education of the next generation.

Mayor Andrew Chou of Diamond Bar commended and thanked the Diamond Bar Chinese Association for their charitable donation and for organizing the Mid-Autumn celebration event. He also expressed gratitude to Diamond Bar High School and its principal for their contributions. As the Mayor, he assured everyone that the city government would provide the best services and support, looking forward to more diverse community activities in Diamond Bar.

Dr. Tony Torng, a former President of the association, now serving on the Walnut Valley Unified School District Board of Education, expressed his delight in witnessing the successful celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival organized by the Diamond Bar Chinese Association once again. Donating to support Diamond Bar High School is a tradition of the association and a way for the Chinese community to engage in community development and integrate into mainstream society. Therefore, he hoped that such acts of kindness would continue to contribute to the betterment of the city and the community.

The evening's Mid-Autumn Gala featured a diverse and spectacular array of performances, ranging from jazz ensemble performances to instrumental group performances, from Chinese martial arts to ethnic dances, from duets to song and dance performances. Finally, the guests joined together to sing "The Moon Represents My Heart," marking a perfect conclusion to the day's Mid-Autumn celebration.
