I am deeply honored to become the next president. As the new president, I am well aware of the responsibilities and missions that lie ahead. The journey ahead requires collective efforts from all of us to continually expand the association's development and bring a better life to our community and members. The success of the association relies on the collective strength of its members, and only when we work together wholeheartedly can we achieve the association's development goals. Therefore, we must further strengthen communication, trust, and mutual support among our members. I want to emphasize the importance of improved communication for the association's development. Our association's members come from various professions, countries, and different cultural backgrounds. Therefore, we will use social media, websites, and other communication channels to help establish a robust member communication mechanism. This includes regularly holding parent meetings, organizing various cultural, artistic, and community activities, and more, to provide members with more opportunities for mutual exchange and support. Only by embracing diversity and fostering innovation through this inclusive approach can we bring vitality and development to our association." ![]() Diamond Bar Chinese Association's another focus is to create a better community life. In the future, the association will introduce a series of activities related to healthy living, such as hiking, golf, and yoga, and will invite professional sports and fitness coaches, doctors, lawyers, accountants, financial analysts, architects to provide professional services and advice to the Chinese community in our association. Community safety reinforcement: We hope to enhance security by increasing local law enforcement and community watch assistance. In the future, we plan to improve security awareness by adding road and home security monitoring systems, as well as installing car security cameras. Regarding environmental protection, the association will prioritize green living construction and proactively engage in various environmental activities and initiatives, such as recycling, adding car charging stations, and solar panels. In the realm of education, the association will continuously introduce learning programs and courses that meet societal needs and provide appropriate services and support. Additionally, the association will convey knowledge in various subject areas in an engaging and straightforward bilingual manner to students while promoting Chinese language and culture within the community. In summary, we will provide the best services for our Chinese association through various means, making every effort to unite the strength of the Chinese community in pursuing our greatest public interests in the United States. We aim to create, share, and prosper together in our activities, ensuring a brighter future for our next generation. ![]() ![]() Outgoing President Li Minni expressed, "I have served as the President for the 32nd and 33rd terms, and today, I am honored to step down. I am deeply grateful for the support we've received over these years. During my tenure, the Chinese Association has organized numerous events and raised significant funds to assist the fire department and local schools, among others. We've also hosted large-scale events like the Mid-Autumn Festival, where we once raised over $60,000 in donations for schools. These efforts have been our way of giving back to the community. This includes activities for the Chinese New Year and Lunar New Year. We are committed to continuing fundraising and supporting our police, fire department, and other underserved groups. Our hope is to set an example and foster unity within the Chinese community, and we hope that everyone will continue to protect our Chinese community." During the evening's festivities, Presidents Gu Shaolun and Li Minni also announced donations on behalf of the Diamond Bar Chinese Association. They contributed $10,000 to Diamond Bar High School, and President Gu Shaolun, representing the Adesso Nonprofit Foundation, donated $20,000 to the Diamond Bar Chinese Association. Apart from the presidential handover ceremony, the evening featured spectacular performances, including modern dance, singing, martial arts, piano, and a joint performance by students and teachers from the Chinese school. There were also social dances and a lottery with exquisite prizes. Distinguished guests in attendance at the event included the Principal of Diamond Bar High School, Paul Hsu, Chairman of the National Development Committee and Southern California Chapter of APAPA, lawyer Fang Xiaowei, former President of the Hacienda Heights Chinese Association Zhang Wenzhen, President of the Walnut Chinese United Association Huang Qiaoqi, Secretary General of the West Covina Chinese United Association Cao Yu, President Guo Song, President Lin Lianlian, Permanent Honorary Chairman of the Diamond Bar Evergreen Association Shi Wuxiang, and the President of the Southern California Branch of the World Chinese Business and Professional Women's Association, Zheng Yiji, among others. It was noted that the Chinese Association actively participates in various community events both locally and internationally every year. Through community engagement and interaction, they promote traditional Chinese culture, connect with overseas Chinese communities, strengthen ties and friendships with the broader community and ethnic groups, integrate into mainstream society, and earn recognition and appreciation from the mainstream community.
