Southern California High School Student Cheryl Ku Calls for Fundraising on September 17th to Rebuild Maui Island After Wildfires

A "Wildfire Fundraising Charity Sale" organized by Diamond Bar High School students will take place on Friday, September 17th, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the "Walnut Senior Center." They encourage the Chinese community to actively participate and join hands with students to bring love and hope to the rebuilding efforts for Maui, Hawaii.

Cheryl Ku, a high school student from Diamond Bar High School in Southern California, has recently passionately rallied her fellow students, Yu-Chen Ku, Chi-Hao Chen, Chao-Lan Liang, and Si-Yuan Liu, along with the Chinese Parents Association of Walnut High School, Sharplow Middle School, and various community members, to raise funds for the disaster-stricken areas in Hawaii. Witnessing the proactive organization of charity events by young people, former Mayor of Walnut City, Shiu-Lan Su-Wang, also gave high praise.

The "Rebuilding Maui Island Fundraising Charity Sale" will be held on Friday, September 17th, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the "Walnut Senior Center." All proceeds from the charity sale will be donated in full to the Maui Humane Society and Maui Food Bank. Audience support and participation are warmly welcomed.
