The Adesso Foundation and the Diamond Bar Chinese Association hosted a grand Mid-Autumn Festival fair and donated $20,000.

On September 22, the Diamond Bar Chinese Association held a grand Mid-Autumn Festival fair at Diamond Bar High School. The event featured a variety of activities, including traditional food stalls and fun games, attracting multiple educational institutions, community organizations, and local businesses. Its aim was to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, promote Chinese culture, and allow friends from diverse backgrounds to gain a deeper understanding of the richness and charm of Chinese culture.

At the event, several guests were present, including Diamond Bar Mayor Liu Xulin, Vice Mayor Deng Jiayou, Walnut Valley School District Board Member Tong Yi, Superintendent Robert P. Taylor, and Diamond Bar High School Principal David Hong. In his speech, Mayor Liu pointed out that the Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important traditional holidays for Chinese people, symbolizing family reunion and harmony. He emphasized that this festival holds great significance not only for families but also as an important part of culture and values, urging everyone to celebrate this occasion with a grateful heart.

Vice Mayor Deng Jiayou stated that the city government fully supports cultural activities like the Mid-Autumn Festival every year, hoping to pass on excellent Chinese culture to the next generation while also valuing cultural exchange with other ethnic groups. He emphasized that such events not only foster family reunions but also allow more people to experience the charm of culture.

Li Minni, President of the Diamond Bar Chinese Association, shared highlights of the event, expressing her hope that the rich activities would promote the spirit of reunion during the Mid-Autumn Festival and create a warm festive atmosphere. She particularly thanked Diamond Bar High School for their collaboration in this event.

Principal David Hong expressed gratitude for the support from the association and mentioned that it has long provided Chinese language courses on campus to help students understand and learn about Chinese culture. Walnut School District Board Member Tong Yi noted that the fair allowed the community to better understand how Chinese people integrate and establish roots locally. She thanked Association President Gu Shaolun for the generous donation and emphasized the association's contributions to the school.

The fair featured a wealth of activities, drawing a large crowd of residents. In addition to traditional foods like candied hawthorn, there were various everyday items and games. Local organizations, such as the American Abacus Association and VEX Robotics Competition, also provided information on-site, promoting community interaction and engagement.

Finally, the Diamond Bar Chinese Association donated $20,000 to Diamond Bar High School for a large LED screen in the school's sports field, showcasing the association's commitment to education and support for the community. The Mid-Autumn Festival fair successfully allowed everyone to share in the joy of the holiday and strengthened understanding and connections among the various ethnic groups in the community.
