Los Angeles, September 28, 2024 — The Los Angeles Sing Tao Daily celebrated its 35th anniversary with a grand book launch event for *California Chinese Influential Figures* at the Hilton Hotel in San Gabriel. The event attracted over 200 guests from politics, business, academia, and community organizations, creating a lively and uplifting atmosphere.

Liang Jianfeng, President and Editor-in-Chief of Sing Tao Daily’s West Coast edition, stated in his speech that since its establishment in 1989, the Los Angeles Sing Tao Daily has been dedicated to serving the Chinese community by providing the latest news for both new and veteran immigrants. He emphasized that as the newspaper marks its 35th anniversary, it will continue to uphold the principles of fairness, pragmatism, and innovation in journalism, sharing more inspiring stories from the Chinese community and striving to write new chapters for Chinese Americans.

Liang also introduced the content of *California Chinese Influential Figures*, which features numerous outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions across various fields. The book includes forewords written by elected officials and well-known figures in the community, aiming to inspire more Chinese Americans to contribute and actively participate in social affairs in the U.S.

Notably, Mr. Gu Shaolun is featured in the *California Chinese Influential Figures* and delivered an inspiring speech at the event. He stated that the publication of this book not only affirms the achievements of the Chinese community but also expresses hope for the future. Reflecting on his journey in the U.S., Mr. Gu emphasized the importance of perseverance and hard work. He encouraged every Chinese individual present to bravely pursue their dreams in any field and contribute to the prosperity of society.
